Bravo Health Names Julia Ciorletti Senior Vice President, Government Relations

(BALTIMORE, MD — April 6, 2009) — Bravo Health, a Medicare Advantage plan dedicated to providing beneficiaries access to high quality, cost-effective health care, today announced the appointment of Julia Ciorletti as Senior Vice President, Government Relations. As Bravo Health's chief government relations officer, Ciorletti will monitor the legislative and regulatory environment and apprise the leadership team of developments with direct relevance to the company's business.

Prior to joining Bravo Health, Ciorletti served as Vice President, Government Relations at Centene Corporation in Washington, D.C., a managed care company based in St. Louis that provides Medicaid, the State Children's Health Insurance Program and Supplemental Security Income, among other benefits. She previously served as Assistant Director of Congressional Affairs for the American Medical Association's Government Affairs Team.

"With health care reform a top priority for the current administration, it is crucial that Bravo Health leadership stay informed and have a voice as the debate progresses," said Jeff Folick, chairman and CEO of Bravo Health. "Julia will be instrumental in providing the insight we'll need to anticipate and respond to changes while maintaining Bravo Health's commitment to assuring access to exceptional, affordable health care."

Ciorletti's career has included serving as Director of the Massachusetts Hospital Association's Washington, D.C. office and its Federal Government Relations, as well as Vice President of Health Policy Development for the Hospital Association of Rhode Island in Providence. She also served in various capacities for the White House, the Department of Justice, the Department of Commerce and the House of Representatives.

"Now is an exciting time to be an active participant in the health care reform debate on the Hill, and I am especially pleased to work on behalf of such a dynamic company as Bravo Health," said Ciorletti. "The company's goals are clearly aligned with health care reform, and I look forward to assuring that message is heard as well as advising leadership on key issues that may impact the business."

Ciorletti received a bachelor of arts at Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and a master of arts in health service management and policy from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. She is a member of Health on Wednesday, an invitation-only group of women who are health care government relations leaders in Washington, D.C.
