Bravo Health in Lead-off Spot as Home Runs for Heart Presenting Sponsor
(PHILADELPHIA, PA — March 31, 2008) — With spring in the air and the start of another baseball season upon us, Bravo Health is on deck as the presenting sponsor for the 11th Annual Richie Ashburn Home Runs for Heart. Quickly becoming one of the most highly-anticipated fundraising events in the city, Home Runs for Heart will take place on May 19 and 20 at Citizens Bank Park, home of the Philadelphia Phillies. This annual event, named after the legendary Phillies player and broadcaster, raises funding for American Heart Association education and research aimed at eliminating cardiovascular disease, the nation's leading cause of death. Ashburn died of a heart attack in 1997.
Bravo Health is committed to promoting early prevention and treatment options specifically for people living with conditions which can lead to heart disease. Becoming a key player with Home Runs for Heart was an easy choice to make, said Jason Feuerman, senior vice president and executive director of Bravo Health's Pennsylvania region.
By sponsoring the 11th Annual Home Runs for Heart, we reinforce our commitment to help build public awareness about heart disease and promote prevention," said Feuerman, who is also co-chair of the 2008 Home Runs for Heart Committee, along with Maureen Quilter, director of Communications for Comcast SportsNet. "This event is a rare opportunity to step up to the plate and raise funds for cardiovascular disease research. We applaud the American Heart Association's education efforts and look forward to a fun-filled, meaningful event."
Bravo Health recently launched its Bravo Healthy Heart Medicare Advantage health plan to promote early prevention and treatment options specifically for people with conditions which can lead to heart disease.
