Bravo Health Joins Fight against Diabetes as an American Diabetes Association National Strategic Partner

(BALTIMORE, MD — November 17, 2009) — Bravo Health, a Medicare Advantage plan dedicated to providing beneficiaries access to high quality, cost-effective health care, today announced that it has signed on as National Strategic Partner (NSP) of the American Diabetes Association.

"This is especially important because approximately one-third of our members have diabetes," said Jeff Folick, chairman and chief executive officer of Bravo Health. "Bravo Health is committed to helping all of our members live life well, and our goal is in line with the Association's focus on improving the lives of people affected by diabetes This sponsorship will provide us with an extensive array of valuable tools to educate our members about specific ways to control diabetes so they can be as healthy as they can possibly be."

Bravo Health will be able to customize for their members materials from the American Diabetes Association – including meal planners, informational brochures and cookbooks. The Association will also provide healthy living content for the company's member newsletter. As an NSP, Bravo Health will play a key role in supporting the Association's community events including "Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes®" and targeted multi-cultural programs to increase awareness among African American and Hispanic/Latino communities, where the diabetes risk is higher than in other populations.
